Alex Aimee Kist (they/them) is a poet, educator, and organizer currently based in Massachusetts. Alex is informed by their identity as a queer, non-binary, disabled, intersectional feminist. Their work is featured in Beyond Queer Words, The Closed Eye Open, Quartz Literary, and the 2021 Poetry Marathon Anthology. Alex believes that sharing personal stories is a radical act of self-love and hopes to empower others to do the same.
Alex first entered the Cantab as an out-of-state visitor who was distraught to have found such a lovely, poetic space on the opposite side of the country. However, in moving back to Massachusetts, Alex immediately funneled their time and energy into the community. They are thrilled to be working with the Boston Poetry Slam team to help reach their developmental goals.
