First of two nights of the Boston Poetry Slam World Qualifier: past slam winners compete in two speed rounds (2- and 1-minute poems) to see who will advance to Finals. $5 cover tonight to raise funds to send the winner to the Individual World Poetry Slam.

Legacy Seattle performance poet and YA novelist Karen Finneyfrock. Fifth speed slam in the 8×8 series: 3-, 2-, and 1-minute rounds.
Final night of the Cantab’s famed Team Selection Slams! The top five poets at the end of three insanely competitive rounds will comprise the 2014 Boston Poetry Slam Team. $5 cover tonight to raise funds for the team’s travel to the National Poetry Slam in Oakland this August.
