Reluctant local slam powerhouse JR Mahung. Plus: the Champion of Champions speed slam! Eight 8×8 speed slam winners return to challenge reigning champ Kylie Noelle for the venue’s top slam title.

Cantab Feature for Wednesday, March 29, 2017: Team Selection FINALS

Final night of the Cantab’s famed Team Selection Slams! Revised schedule: 8:00 open mic, 8:45 first round, 9:30 intermission. Following intermission, RebeccaLynn will spotlight, then two more rounds will kick off around 10:00. The top five poets at the end of the night will comprise the 2017 Boston Poetry Slam Team. $5 cover tonight to raise funds for the team’s travel to the National Poetry Slam in Denver this August.

Cantab Feature for Wednesday, March 15, 2017: CUPSI Warm-Up

The Cantab CUPSI Warm-Up will prepare local teams for collegiate slam nationals, coming to Chicago this April.

CUPSI-bound collegiate teams from Emerson, Simmons, Wellesley, and Northeastern face off in a traditional 4×4 slam to prepare for their upcoming national tournament.
