You may have heard of Bobby Crawford. He is a retired elite figure skater; a quite above-average Ms.PacMan player; led the Emerson Poetry Project to 2012 Organization of the Year; had a book published; is a two-time member of the Boston Poetry Slam national team; appeared on semi-finals stage at both CUPSI and NPS; has been featured numerous times in mildly successful Youtube videos; his poems have been read across the United States; he is still the highest ranked Cantab IWPS representative ever. He pours stuff into cups for a living, and really, really loves to hear poems read aloud by people who care about them. He lives in Denver, Colorado; he has no dog, and no family.

Note that tonight’s open poetry slam is a speed slam with 3-, 2-, and 1-minute rounds. Slam winners qualify for the 2018 World Qualifier.

This show in our weekly Wednesday series takes place at the Cantab Lounge, 738 Massachusetts Ave. in Cambridge. Doors for the show open at 7:15. The open mic begins at 8:00 and the feature performs at approximately 10:00. An open speed slam in the 8×8 series will follow. The show is 18+ (ID required) and the cover charge is $3.
